Workshops

LINO PRINTING

Sunday 4th September
10:30-2:30pm

£50

Join Sarah from Folded Forest for this seasonal printmaking workshop and learn how to make your own limited edition of lino prints. Sarah will guide you through the process of creating and developing your image and carving your design into the block using specialist cutting tools. You will then learn how to ink up your plate and use traditional hand printing techniques to produce your finished design.

We will be inspired by the beautiful shapes and forms of the natural world in Autumn; leaves, berries, branches and seedheads. With time for experimentation, printed examples to look at, and the support & guidance of an experienced printmaker you will create a unique edition of prints to keep for yourself or share with family and friends.

No previous experience of printmaking is necessary. You may bring ideas, images or objects to work with or just be inspired by our range of examples on the day. There is also scope to trace images, rather than hand drawing.  Please bring an apron to protect your clothes.
